WHY EXHIBIT IN TANZANIA

There are a host of reason which will entice you into exhibiting your consumer products in Tanzania, TANZANIA, The Land of Kilimanjaro and Zanzibar is one of the few most stable countries in Africa, having enjoyed peace and stability since attaining her independence in 1961. Its economy is growing at a rate of more than 6.7 annually, thus creating an ever increasing middle class with a disposable income to spend on Fashion goods which are in short supply currently. Tanzania with a population of 40 Million people, is a member of the East Africa Community, SADC and a beneficially to the FTA commonly know as MMTZ- SACU, all in all, a Custom Union Market of about 300 million people.

Strategically located on the East Coast of East Africa, with an efficient port of Dar-Es-Salaam and an international airport, Tanzania is increasingly becoming a trade hub to serve the other six land locked states of Zambia, Malawi, DRC, Burundi, Rwanda and Uganda whose businessmen are flock to Tanzania to source for their respective markets. The Tourism and mining sectors are booming, Foreign Direct Investments are flowing into Tanzania than to a most of other African countries, thus, expanding further the market for fashion goods. Tanzania’s Foreign Exchange and Trade regime is one among the best in Africa, with no unnecessary Foreign Exchange controls. Externalization of sales proceeds is simple and therefore, there is no political or commercial risk of falling to expatriate sales proceeds. The media is much liberalized with wide coverage of the country, thus making it easy for fashion trends to reach out to every corner of Tanzania in a shortest time possible.

Dar es Salaam is the commercial capital of Tanzania boosting about 4 million interested consumers of fashion goods. The city is increasingly being a main source of supply to neighboring countries whose small and medium entrepreneurs frequent Dar es Salaam to buy their suppliers. Well connected to the Dubai by air, three daily flights to Dar es Salaam by Kenya Airways, Qatar Airways and Emirates and weekly container ships to Dar es Salaam, makes it an easy place to trade with and visit. The distribution sector is booming with shopping malls mush rooming in different parts of the city and boutiques and beauty parlor on every street
