AN INTERFACE WITH THE TEXTILE WORLD AT TEXTILES AFRICA’2009
Textile Africa’ 2009 is being organized jointly by The Kenya National Chamber of Commerce & Industry and Arabian Exposition, Dubai, first of its kind in Kenya on Textiles and machineries. The exhibitors will be given an opportunity to exhibit as well as carryout promotional activities like Fashion Shows, Workshops and Demonstrations etc.
Textile Africa is being organized at the most opportune time when the government is looking forward to modernize and upgrade the textile sector of the country for better quality products and enhanced productivity. The exhibition aims to focus on the immense potential of textile and garment machinery, accessories, raw material supplies, chemicals and allied services under one roof.
Textiles Africa’2009, the annual event positioned as a platform for effective interface in textiles with about 100 international and local companies showcased an assortment of exquisite merchandise .
The show will have the products on display like include yarns to fabrics (cotton, synthetic, silk, wool, jute and man-made fibres, blend), furnishings and made-ups, textile gifts, shawls, trims and embellishments, CAD/CAM systems, textile publications etc. The show will present a view of trends and developments of African textiles for spring /summer 2009, courtesy leading international and Kenyan companies.
Adding to the global appeal of Textiles Africa’2009 is the enhanced range of internationally recognized branded products, exquisite styling and the richness of colours and weaves. This is the result of new strides taken by the African Textile Industry to become technology –driven, while retaining its traditional innovativeness.
The added features at the Show will be Trend Forum- showcasing season’s forecasts and trends of top designers for spring /summer 2009, Theme Pavilion – depicting the East African industry’s capabilities, Fabric Folio- offering a bird’s eye-view of the innovations, concepts and development culled from the participating companies and other production centers.

Sarit Expo Centre is located within Sarit Centre, Kenya's first, biggest and busiest shopping mall. Opened in 1983, it is located in the affluent suburb of Westlands of Nairobi. It's “City Within A City” concept of providing everything under one roof has since irrevocably changed retailing patterns and spurred shopping mall development throughout East Africa.

The capital Nairobi, is one of the most developed and modern city in Africa having all facilities as any other developing city in the world. Modern construction is a common view in the cities of Kenya which include high rise buildings and sky scrapers . Besides business, Kenya is world famous for its fabulous Safaris that attract foreign tourists throughout the year, thus generating remarkable foreign earnings for the country.
